No. Pocket is local-first — your data lives only on your device, in a local SQLite database. There is no Pocket server, no account, and nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly back up to your own cloud folder. The only other connections, live market prices and hosted AI, stay off until you switch them on. (The document vault and backups are encrypted with AES-256-GCM; full database-at-rest encryption is on our roadmap.)
Yes — everything core works offline. An internet connection is only used — optionally, once you switch them on — to refresh live market prices from free public feeds, or for hosted AI.
Yes. On any plan, copy your data folder (or export CSV) to the new device. Founder Pro adds an encrypted backup you can restore there, through a cloud folder you choose (Pocket runs no server and holds no key). You always hold the keys — Pocket never does.
Absolutely. Cancel or change plans whenever you like. If you cancel a paid plan you simply drop to the Free plan — still fully usable forever, with all your data readable and exportable.
Yes — you get a full Pro trial to explore every premium feature. After it ends you continue on the generous Free plan for as long as you like, and can upgrade anytime.
Your financial data never needs a login — it lives only on your device. When you buy a plan, we email you a signed license key; enter it once and it activates offline, forever. The only thing we ever hold is the purchase email used to send your key. Changing devices? Just re-enter your key.
No — by design. You import CSV statements (one-click presets for HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis and Kotak, plus auto-detect) or add transactions yourself. No credentials are ever stored, so nothing can leak. Automatic bank connections are not supported.
